Personal Safety & Event Readiness

  • Pride Cultural Arts Center 1201 Harmon Place Minneapolis, MN, 55403 United States (map)

Goal: Teach participants strategies for staying safe at events, protecting themselves and others, and responding to emergencies in crowded spaces.

Core Themes:

  • Safety looks different depending on who you are and where you are. Personal trauma and experience play a large role.

  • Practicing safety skills ahead of time builds confidence and muscle memory for when it matters.

  • Community safety includes everyone and comes from looking out for one another.

  • Knowing what to look for proactively can help prevent crimes of opportunity and lessen the likelihood of unsafe situations.
